Eric Van Nielsen’s studio

Insect Print Fun with reCreate Featured Artist Joy Waldinger!

Our reCreate Featured Artist of November, Joy Waldinger, taught a workshop on Science, Art, and Insect Prints in our in-store Gallery on Sunday, November 2nd. Participants were encouraged to link science and art through the process of studying and rendering insects. Everyone observed insects from an actual insect collection as well as from books. Then participants drew insect forms on reclaimed pieces of rubber tile that they then cut reliefs into to make stamps.
