Alison Mae Hoban

Resource Exchange staff member Alison is a theater artist with a focus in physical theater, mask, and puppetry. She is also a co-creator and member of Found Theater Company, a small collective that has used reclaimed materials from The Resource Exchange in their productions and events. Alison’s artwork is made specifically for performance, mostly created with reused newspaper, cardboard, and foam. Her whimsical and colorful masks and puppets pictured here were made for a variety of performances like children’s theatre  productions, operas, fringe shows, and parades.  The flat black animal puppets shown below were made entirely from materials she found at The Resource Exchange for an original opera by The Philadelphia Opera Collective.
