I always find myself collecting random items and materials thinking I can one day use them. I never know how I am going to use the materials, the idea comes later on then I jump up and start creating.

I attend The University of the Arts here in Philly, majoring in art education. Most of my pieces start off as a moment that can’t be fully expressed in only a picture. Each piece takes me back to a personal experience I had with myself. I have been creating since elementary school but while I started to grow on my own, so did my art. Each piece is a journey. Each stroke and mark has become an expression of self communication. Pastel is my go to, but I am still growing and love exploring different mediums. My body has become my new focus. “Dirt Body” is the name I developed towards the end of a low self hating period.
