FSS Theatre ‘Metamorphoses’ + Salvaged Scenery Columns

Friends Select School Theatre department’s latest production Metamorphoses is opening this weekend and features two major set pieces from the re! Metamorphoses is based on the myths of Ovid, originally written and directed by Mary Zimmerman.         Max Budnick, FSS Technical Theatre Director, found these salvaged scenery columns and we think they were the perfect addition for the mythological narrative!  The FSS Theatre department gave our salvaged columns a new life with just a fresh coat of gold paint! Salvaged Vinyl – creative reuse on stage at Arcadia University Theater!

Shout out to Arcadia University Theater, and Managing Director of Theater Arts/Production, Visual and Performing Arts, Robert Napoli for sending us photos of how they transformed our salvaged vinyl banner fabric instead of buying new!  The vinyl banners were donated from Penn Museum from Mayor Kenney’s Unity Cup! A World Cup-style tournament held over several months, the Philadelphia International Unity Cup unites the city’s neighborhoods and celebrates its diverse immigrant communities through soccer.  One of their talented students, and re customer Laura Bonacci created scenic pieces for the Eager Beaver Inspirational Poster contest in their production of the Tony Award-winning comedy, … Continue reading

Penn Museum + The Resource Exchange!

The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology is currently undergoing an exciting Building Transformation. The renovations are providing the museum a chance to change up displays in their galleries and clean out uneeded materials. While they don’t need these materials now, they are still reusable, so of course, they contacted The Resource Exchange.
