Salvaged Vinyl – creative reuse on stage at Arcadia University Theater!

Shout out to Arcadia University Theater, and Managing Director of Theater Arts/Production, Visual and Performing Arts, Robert Napoli for sending us photos of how they transformed our salvaged vinyl banner fabric instead of buying new!  The vinyl banners were donated from Penn Museum from Mayor Kenney’s Unity Cup! Penn Museum + The Resource Exchange!

The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology is currently undergoing an exciting Building Transformation. The renovations are providing the museum a chance to change up displays in their galleries and clean out uneeded materials. While they don’t need these materials now, they are still reusable, so of course, they contacted The Resource Exchange. Reclaimed Lumber from PHS and The Arden Get a New Life!

Moving has given us the chance to reorganize and build store fixtures that will make our space better than ever…and we’re of course using reclaimed materials to do it! A lot of times we need carts and platforms for us to display sale items. We also need them to be moveable and versatile. So, super volunteer board member Dennis had the idea of making a display cart from two separate lumber donations. Remember those birch logs we saved from Pennsylvania Horticultural Society?
