Drew Kraus, a member at NextFab, made these beautiful butcher blocks and cutting boards using reclaimed hardwood found at The Resource Exchange, plus some scrap material collected from NextFab! “I only got into woodworking mid 2019 but excited to move onto more and bigger projects. I’ll be stopping back in soon for more supplies on next projects!!” To see more of Drew’s work, follow him on Instagram @Drewrk_ NextFab will soon be our neighbors in the 1800 North American Street warehouse! Members from Burgundy Blue Dance recently stopped by the re looking for some materials to be used in a dance show entitled “Heaven and Hell”. They purchased two wooden doors and ended up transforming them entirely by making pews for their performance! Burgundy Blue Dance Company is a Contemporary/Jazz Company based in the Philadelphia area founded by Director and Choreographer Sevon Wright. Shout out to Arcadia University Theater, and Managing Director of Theater Arts/Production, Visual and Performing Arts, Robert Napoli for sending us photos of how they transformed our salvaged vinyl banner fabric instead of buying new! The vinyl banners were donated from Penn Museum from Mayor Kenney’s Unity Cup! A World Cup-style tournament held over several months, the Philadelphia International Unity Cup unites the city’s neighborhoods and celebrates its diverse immigrant communities through soccer.
