From Park to Park -Theater Props Becomes Volunteer Board!

Prop shields made for a “Shakespeare in Clark Park” production have found new life as a volunteer board in Pennypack Park! Emma Schad, Stewardship Coordinator for Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, recently came into The Resource Exchange and got reclaimed materials to make a sign for a regular volunteer opportunity that she hosts at Pennypack Park. Saved from the Democratic National Convention!

In case you missed it, the Democratic National Convention took place here in our lovely city of Philadelphia last week. Like with any large scale event, there can be a lot of waste and materials left to organize once it’s over.
