Upcoming Teen Program Using Reclaimed Materials at the Fabric Workshop and Museum !

We’re so thrilled that The Fabric Workshop and Museum regularly uses reclaimed materials in their family programming events! For their upcoming event What Lies Beneath, they created props and costumes using a wide variety of materials found at The Resource Exchange. The Magic in Creative Reuse!

Community and family events often have tables for crafting, making, and learning new skills. We love it when local businesses get creative and make an effort to use reclaimed materials, instead of buying new supplies. Reclaimed Materials turned into GOLD!

Former reCreate Featured Artist Kristie Landry found all the materials she needed at the Resource Exchange to create a beautiful 50th wedding anniversary party for her parents. Amongst the materials she found at the re were envelopes, wrapping paper, a hole punch, fabric, a photo album, decorative paper and rub-on letters. “My parent’s 50th anniversary party was supplied by the Resource Exchange from top to bottom!” She made invitations for the 50th (gold) anniversary party by using gold envelopes that were embossed with someone else’s name and wedding dates.
