Constructivist Play for Adults Workshop uses reclaimed materials!

Re customer and educational trainer with LiteBrite, LLC, Erika Anderson recently purchased a range of reclaimed materials for use in an educational workshop at the Conference by the Sea, hosted by the Maryland State Child Care Association in Ocean City, Maryland. LiteBrite’s Director, Crystal Ey, engaged over 300 early learning educators during two sessions on Constructivist Play for Adults at the conference, putting the creative materials (including fabric samples, pipe cleaners and expandos) to good use as educational tools! Erika wrote that these materials “added another dimension to the level of creativity and interest through play experiences during the sessions” and described the room as “filled with joyful, energetic learning as they thoughtfully engaged in the adult play during both individual and group play scenarios.”  We were thrilled that rather than buying new, LiteBrite, LLC was able to use materials that otherwise would have gone to landfill to support the adult learners’ educational experience.
