Ala Modak – New Restaurant on the Block!

Not only are our awesome new neighbors serving up delicious Middle Eastern food at Ala Modak Restaurant, but they are also re regulars and incorporated lots of different reclaimed materials during the renovation and decoration!  Check out the beautiful space and try the tasty and affordable food at this unique BYOB at the corner of Cecil B. Moore Ave and N. Hancock St, open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

There’s even a corner of the restaurant where you can try on traditional dress or put on a fez and have your picture taken (as staff member, Laura, recently did).  The shutters you can see hanging on the wall came from us, as well as decorative rope, racks in the kitchen, wood trim, a sink, and plumbing materials!

We certainly know we’re going to be eating a lot more falafel for lunch. And hookah enthusiasts will be glad to hear that a hookah lounge will soon be opening on the second floor.  Learn more on their facebook page /alamodak3, their website www.alamodakphilly.com, or call them at 267-239-0088.  And when you go, tell them we sent you! Bon Appetit!
