University City Arts League Summer Camp Project

Here at the re, we regularly meet teachers that use reclaimed materials in their classrooms and school projects. One such person is Luiza Cardenuto, who teaches at the University City Arts League Summer Camp, an outstanding  arts camp for children ages 5 -10. This summer, the kids did a new project every week and many of the materials they used came from The Resource Exchange!

One of the projects the kids were asked to create was to transform reclaimed materials into snow and ice inspired pieces. They used fabric, paper and chair back covers from re to create their work.

We love when teachers educate their students about saving reusable materials from landfill by using them in their own creative reuse projects! As this school year begins, remember to check here at the re for what you need in school, office, and arts and craft supplies – why buy new?!
