What is the American Street Feast, you ask? It is a celebration of our neighborhood for which “neighbors and business owners, young and old, longstanding and recently arrived, along with neighborhood supporters, will share in conversation and a family style meal that displays the culinary traditions and the creative talents of those who live and work in South/Old Kensington.”  Hosted by South Kensington Community Partners (SKCP) with event partners LISC, Spiral Q, andPhiladelphia Photo Arts Center, the Feast will take place on American Street the evening of Friday, September 9th.  Neighborhood residents are invited not only to attend the free Feast, but to participant in any or all of the public events hosted at different places in the neighborhood leading up to the Feast (including the Community Map Build Day at NextFab), during which we’ll be making different elements that will be used on Feast day.
