Saved from the set of The Arden’s “Equivocation!”

Equivocation set 1

equivocation set 2As part of our ongoing collaboration with The Arden Theatre Company, The Resource Exchange participated in the recent strike of their fall production Equivocation. The wood floor and columns seen in this photo of the set are made of green poplar that the Arden has donated to the re. Arden apprentices, staff, and several Resource Exchange board members removed  the lumber from the set and loaded it onto a truck destined for our store! Check out this video to see us hard at work... can you believe all those stairs?!

Equivocation lumber

It's so great to have such a wonderful relationship with The Arden, working together to keep reusable materials from going to landfill. The lumber now resides in our store and is available for purchase to the public. In fact, many pieces have already been purchased by local artists and makers for creative reuse. Check on the blog in the coming weeks for follow-ups on some of these projects to see what people have been creating!
