The Resource Exchange + William McKinley School

classroom decor sdpWendy Goldberg, a 2nd grade teacher at nearby McKinley Elementary School recently purchased reclaimed materials from the re to decorate her classroom.

She used textured fiber paper and brightly colored cotton fabric to cover display boards and edged them with salvaged paper borders in contrasting colors!  Looks like a great learning environment as well as a perfect opportunity for kids to learn about reuse.  Here’s Wendy description in her own words…

purple material & yellow borders really brighten the library area”

“Everybody is loving the “classy-ness” of the textured material I used for our Word Wall.  Also from [the re] are the navy blue borders and stapler that makes stapling into the wall a breeze!”

“Close up of texture- our kids love tactile stimulation, it can actually be soothing & help with concentration.” Thanks so much for sharing, Wendy!
