Grand reOpening Weekend!

[one_half]April 12th and 13th will quite a weekend at 2nd and Cecil B. Moore! Here’s what we have in store…

– a “Ribbon UNcutting,” The Resource Exchange-style, using salvaged theater scenery!

– free refreshments starting at 3:00 on Saturday, while they last, provided by Philadelphia Brewing Company and Commonwealth Cider!

– local food truck PieStand selling their awesome fried pies!

– the first creative reuse themed event in the newly revamped gallery, How to Make Great Costumes and Art for Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby, on Saturday from 3-5, in partnership with New Kensington Community Developmentnt (NKCDC). Find out more about the neighborhood’s art and human-powered transit design competition and parade, recognized as “Best Festival” by Philadelphia Magazine. Mingle and exchange ideas with past winners of KKSD’s Best Art and Best Costume Award, and get inspired to decorate a kinetic sculpture or create an awesome costume out of reclaimed materials for this year’s derby!
