what we do

Creativity is often necessary to find ways to reuse and repurpose material, and at The Resource Exchange, creative reuse is what we’re all about! We save valuable material that used to go to landfill, and put it back into the community for creating, building and learning.

We accept and resell donated and salvaged art/craft supplies, building/ home improvement materials, housewares/home decor, and film/theatrical props and set pieces at low cost. Our work enables a wide range of organizations, businesses, and individuals to create sustainably, rather than creating waste.

We sell/rent all of our material at reduced cost to incentivize reuse, typically 1/3 to 1/2 off of what the material would cost new. Our goal is to develop a hub for creative and building material reuse activities throughout the Philadelphia region. Contact us to get involved!
