Theatre Reuse Highlights from 2016!

Our former staff member Flora Vassar now works as a props master and stage manager in many local Philadelphia theatres. She just sent us this wonderful summary of some of the productions that used our materials this year, so we thought we’d share it with you!

Props in The Philadelphia Artists’ Collective’s “He Who Gets Slapped”

The Philadelphia Artists’ Collective, in partnership with the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, is currently running a Barrymore recommended production of “He Who Gets Slapped,” and they came to the re to get many of the props they are using! They were able to buy and rent various accessories, a vintage men’s grooming kit, and some home decor items such as dishes and lamps to use in their set decoration. The PAC + The Resource Exchange

We’re looking forward to joining The Philadelphia Artist Collective [PAC] for their production of Shakespeare’s Timon of Athens.   Knowing the PAC, it will be a great show. It’s especially nice to have a chance to see one of Shakespeare’s lesser-produced works on stage. And I may not be able to identify the lumber or event furniture that Director and Co-Scenic Designer Dan Hodge picked up at The Resource Exchange, but I’ll have fun seeking out the recognizable pieces that left our shop in the arms of Co-Scenic and Costume Designer Katherine Fritz.
