From Film to Theater – Found Fringe Style!

Found Theater Company often uses salvaged, reclaimed, and reused materials to make the sets and props of their productions, photo shoots, and video trailers. Not only is the reuse of material more economical for a smaller company, but it’s also way better for the environment than buying new. Last Call at Little Berlin features reused tubes!

LAST CALL MAY 6- 31, 2017 Curated by L. Kasterns, L. Leyden, and A.V. Wagner You can still catch the exhibit Last Call at Little Berlin this week! The artworks were made in part with reclaimed tubes found here at The Resource Exchange. The tubes came from the set of the Arden Theatre Company’s production of Robin Hood, and have been reused in TONS of art projects since the set came down in 2012. From Park to Park -Theater Props Becomes Volunteer Board!

Prop shields made for a “Shakespeare in Clark Park” production have found new life as a volunteer board in Pennypack Park! Emma Schad, Stewardship Coordinator for Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, recently came into The Resource Exchange and got reclaimed materials to make a sign for a regular volunteer opportunity that she hosts at Pennypack Park.
